K Place between 42nd and 51st is scheduled to be improved this summer and into the fall. The project will entail installing a new, larger waterline and new hydrants. The project will use the majority of the Southbound lane and there will be restrictions to local traffic only during the majority of the project.
The purpose of this letter is to inform you that the project is going out to bid and expected to be awarded by June. We are scheduling a public meeting to allow property owners a chance to talk with staff and look at the plans to get a better understanding of the project. We are planning to do that on April 28th at 7:00 p.m. in the Long Beach council chambers. If you are unable to attend in person, there is also a zoom link:
